Cookery courses

We are offering both ‘hands-on’ cookery days and morning or evening demonstrations.  Each course is built around a specific subject and will take place in our new purpose built school.

The Cookery School

The ‘hands-on’ days start at 10.00 am with an introduction over coffee and biscuits, followed by a demonstration by the chef of the dishes which you will be cooking.  You will then set to work, with the chef giving you personal instruction from time to time.  At lunch time you will enjoy some of the food which you have prepared together with a glass of wine. After lunch you will cook a dish or two to take home with you, together with all the day’s recipes.

The maximum number of students for each course is 12.

Morning or evening demonstrations start at either 10.00 am or 6.30 pm with an introduction over tea or coffee.  The chef will then demonstrate how to cook a range of dishes all of which you will be able to taste.  At the end of the demonstration you will enjoy lunch or dinner with a glass of wine.  You will leave with all the day’s recipes.  The maximum number attending a demonstration is 24.

Vouchers are of three kinds:

‘Star’ chef * hands-on day     £175

Hands-on day           £145

Demonstrations         £65

* Star’ chefs are David Adlard, Tom Kerridge, Aiden Byrne and Roger Hickman all of whom will be taking ‘hands-on’ days.  Not all ‘Star’ dates have yet been confirmed, but vouchers purchased for one of these chefs will be refunded in full if the course date, when confirmed,  is unsuitable.
